Frozen Brands is a proudly South African company, which came about as we identified a gap in the market for delicious, affordable flash-frozen fruit of a high quality. Within the company, we have two incredible brands who deliver on that need for flash-frozen fruit.
We originally launched with Früzo Flash-Frozen Fruit, and this brand has grown from strength to strength, and is now exclusively stocked in Checkers stores nationwide. We still wanted to be able to provide other suppliers with our flash-frozen fruit, and so Burrrst was established in 2021 to do just this. Burrrst is a vibey, colourful and high-quality range of flash-frozen fruit stocked in some leading suppliers in KwaZulu Natal.
Both Früzo and Burrrst products are ideal for smoothies and other recipes, and make it easy for customers to be able to enjoy their favourite fruit at any time of the year, and without having to worry about them going off. These products also make it easier to enjoy healthy lifestyles.
All fruit is grown and sourced right here in South Africa. The fruit is harvested at optimum ripeness, and sent directly to the packhouse where it is sorted, washed, and chilled and then frozen quickly, locking in the flavour, taste and ripeness, so that it is perfectly ripe and ready to eat. Our packaging is also 100% local, and packed at our facility.
